Linear Equations in F_p (Congruences Modulo p) - Expii

Linear equations over a field, like F_p (the field of integers modulo p), are solved the same way as in Algebra: in ax ≡ b (mod p), as long as a is not 0 mod p, we can divide both sides by a to solve for x mod p.
