JOB DESCRIPTION

Expii’s math content creation interns will be setting the standard for the crowd-sourcing community by creating relatable problems and explanations that highlight new ways to learn. Expii is looking for interns who will share their interests and passions in order to inspire math learning. At Expii you will be joining our highly collaborative team who pushes one another to create and develop Expii’s platform. Expii is the free platform that embraces what makes us all individuals, our voices, experiences, and cultures. We encourage choice and experimentation by giving students the power to choose how they learn. Through creative, fun, practical, and personal lessons each person can have their own aha moment. SKILLS YOU HAVE MASTERED

Knowledge of high school math topics, particularly Algebra 1 (polynomials and factoring, equations and inequalities, etc)
Ability to explain complex math concepts in an approachable and interactive way
Strong communication skills including writing and editing
Willingness to learn and utilize LaTeX
At least one semester of Calculus

BONUS SKILLS AND INTERESTS Incorporate your hobbies, passions, and talents in your content creation. Interesting connections to math and science might include:

Art - create clear, engaging images, drawings, comics, charts, and/or infographics.
Literature - convey factual information in written forms
Outdoors - relate natural phenomena, animals, and/or agriculture to explanations
Music - connect music with math and science topics
Athletics or the performing arts - create content that calls on the learner to interact with his/her/their environment
