Code of Conduct

Let's build a community that allows individuality and encourages learning. Please be nice and treat each other with respect.

Remember you are a person and there are other people on the other side of your computer screen. Be nice, be respectful, be polite. Only say things that you would say to someone in person. Live by the same standards of behavior online that you do in real life.

Properties Code of Conduct is Applicable To

Expii.com explanations and problems, Expii email correspondence, all Expii run social media platforms (including but limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Youtube, Pinterest, etc.)

Prohibited Behavior

Harassment and Bullying, Threatening and Predatory Behavior

Do not harass or bully any other users, harassment includes:

Making threats.
Repeated annoying and unwanted contact.
Personal attacks on that person, their work, their posts, or their character.
Posting the personal information of another person. This includes their name, address, email, social accounts, social security numbers, or bank information.
Using sexually explicit, profane, adversarial, or flirtatious language toward another person if such language would likely make the person uncomfortable.
Abusive videos, comments, messages.
Invasion of privacy.
Committing acts of violence.
Intimidation.
Trolling.

Do not encourage or incite others to threaten, troll, bully, attack, stalk, or harass someone.
Do not record someone without their consent.
Do not deliberately post content in order to humiliate someone.
Do not be (intentionally) rude. Expii is a safe space, rudeness undermines that.
Do not refer to other people's content with insulting or disrespectful language.
Do not advocate self-harm, even in a joking manner.
Do not make unjustified accusations against other users.
Do not use hate speech or racial slurs, in general, or directed at other users. This includes race, gender, religion, nationality, ethnicity, political group, sexual orientation or another similar characteristic.

Illegal Activity

Do not engage in any action or content that is illegal.
Do not post anything that Is sexual or suggestive content.
Do not impersonate someone in a misleading or deceptive manner.
Do not use Expii to solicit or facilitate any transaction involving goods and services.

Spam

Do not post numerous untargeted, unwanted, or repetitive content in explanations problems, comments, private messages, or other places on the site.
Do not post content where the main purpose of your content is to drive people off of Expii and onto another site.
Linking outside Expii is allowed, but do not link to sites that violate our Code of Conduct. This includes pornography, malware, content that was previously removed from Expii, illegal, etc.

Copyright and Impersonation

Do not post any content that infringes any intellectual property or personal right of another party. Only upload or use content or videos that you made or that you're authorized to use. This means don't upload videos you didn't make or use content in your videos that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music, clips of copyrighted programs, images of copyright characters, or videos made by other users.
Do not use Expii to impersonate another person. This includes using their name as your username, posing as that person, or copying their content onto Expii.

General

Do not post explanations or problems that you know are incorrect.
Do not post yours or someone's personal information. This includes things like the town you live in, where you go to school, phone number, home address, links to public or private social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc), and screenshots of social media pages.
Do not post content that contains nudity, pornography, or profanity.
Do not post any content that could be labeled NSFW (Not Safe For Work).
Do not use vulgar language.
Do not create multiple accounts to evade punishment or avoid restrictions.
Do not repost deleted/removed information. This means something from another user or something that we removed on your behalf.
Do not hint at or ask for votes or engage in vote manipulation.
Do not report problems or explanations just because you do not like them or agree with them.
Do not contribute viruses, malware, other malicious programs, engage in activity that harms or interferes with the operation of Expii, or seeks to circumvent security or authentication measures.
Do not break Expii or do anything that interferes with normal use of the site.
Do not post anything that may compromise your reputation or safety.

Encouraged Behavior

Evaluate content based on correctness and quality, not your opinion.
Use proper grammar and spelling. We are shaking up education, but do believe that grammar rules help us communicate effectively. Even the best explanations may be edited for grammar.
Proofread your submissions for logic, content, and grammar errors.
Vote. If you think something is really awesome, if it shows a new way of explaining, is novel, or just really good, upvote it.
Search for duplicates before posting a new explanation. Duplicate content is redundant.
Protect your account data and don’t share your password with others. Expii employees will never ask you for your password.
Report any incorrect content, spam, or inappropriate content you find. Our moderators are good, but new content can pop up faster than they can read, since they are human and all.

Penalties and Repercussions

Content that violates this policy will be reported to and removed by admins and we have a variety of ways of enforcing our rules, including, but not limited to:

Asking you to stop.
Temporary suspension of account(s).
Permanent suspension of account(s).
Blocked on social media account(s).
Removal of content.
Banning in Expii communities.

You may be blocked, suspended, or banned without warning, depending on the severity of the infraction.

Expii will ban and delete all the content of any user who is a confirmed and/or declared member of any group on the U.S. State Department list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations.
