JOB DESCRIPTION
Expii’s user base is growing exponentially — we reach about 10,000 users every day! We are looking for people who are excited to make a direct impact on our product. Expii’s math content editor will review and edit existing content to ensure it is grammatically perfect, mathematically sound, and optimized for search engines. At Expii you will be joining our highly collaborative team who pushes one another to create and develop Expii’s platform. This is a 1099 contracting role that is for 20 – 35 hours each week for three months with possible extension. This position reports to the Director of Education. Expii is the free platform that embraces what makes us all individuals, our voices, experiences, and cultures. We encourage choice and experimentation by giving students the power to choose how they learn. Through creative, fun, practical, and personal lessons, each person can have their own aha moment. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Editing lessons in Algebra 1 in preparation for course release
- Incorporating recommendations from the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) team
- Aligning lesson language with brand voice
- Editing LaTeX
- Knowledge of high school math topics, particularly Algebra 1 (polynomials and factoring, equations and inequalities, etc)
- Critical eye for detail, both grammatically and mathematically
- Willingness to learn and utilize LaTeX
- At least one semester of Calculus
- Experience writing for SEO
- Experience with LaTeX
- Creativity and intellectual curiosity
- Self-motivation and the ability to set large goals and identify how to achieve them
- High attention to detail
- Adaptability and ability to change course as needed
- Desire for your work to scale globally
