Math Curriculum Development Intern
JOB DESCRIPTION
Do you enjoy challenges? Do you love to help others learn? Can you explain sophisticated math topics in an accessible way? When you grew up, did you enjoy solving competition math problems outside of the regular school curriculum, and wish there were more high quality resources?  If so, how would you like to create an interesting, engaging and challenging online course to introduce more people into the magical world of mathematics?  We're a Pittsburgh edtech startup, which has a mission to uplift the world's interest and ability in math, science, and all intellectual pursuits. We have expii.com providing a great resource for the general public, to help the broad base of people throughout the world to achieve a high level of education. However, it takes a significant amount of financial resources in order to provide high quality content  for a world of 7 billion people to enjoy for free, which is why Expii has a division that establishes its financial security. We provide an online product under the name of Expii’s founder, Po-Shen Loh, for the niche audience that wishes to invest a huge amount of their personal time and effort to go far beyond the standard curriculum. The revenue we earn from this division of Expii will ultimately ensure our ability to do the maximum amount of good in the long term. The math curriculum development intern will work closely with Po-Shen Loh to build a series of math courses for North American middle school students who are seeking more challenges outside of the classroom, as well as to provide an environment that encourages thinking, rather than focusing on test results. If you are passionate about engaging more people in math and revolutionizing education, we’d love to talk! RESPONSIBILITIES
