The Quadratic Formula - Defintion & Examples

The 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards will be hosted by Adam DeVine and he is trying to get more viewers than superstar hosts of last year’s telecast. The 2016 show brought together the star power of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart who captured $3.5$ million viewers.

Let’s pretend that DeVine presents himself with the following challenge:

I’m going to have so many more viewers this year than they did last year. I will have the ratio of the number of viewers that Dwayne and Kevin had, divided by the number of additional viewers I will have, equal to the ratio of the total number of viewers I will have, divided by the number of viewers Dwayne and Kevin had.
