Practice problem
Buoyant Force and Archimedes Principle
===

Climate change is rapidly melting the Arctic sea ice and many people believe that this leads to the rise in sea levels all over the earth. We can look at this effect in a simpler problem, with a single 3cm ice cube in a perfectly cylindrical glass of water of diameter 7cm. Using Archimedes' Principle (the buoyant force on the ice cube equals the weight of the volume of water it displaces), estimate how much the water level changes after the ice melts.
