Cicadas (shown above) are known for their loud humming - a noise made when males flex muscles in their abdomens. Each year, cicadas leave behind their delicate exoskeletons on trees and shrubs. As the insects grow, they split their shells, climb out, and regrow a new exoskeleton.

Which polysaccharide is the main component of the cicada's exoskeleton?
