Katherine is a competitive figure skater. She has been studying mathematics and physics in school when she realized she can use mathematics to help her see her mistakes and improve her skating.

While watching recordings of herself practicing, she notices that she isn't completing a rotation in one of her spins. In order to complete the rotation she must begin with the correct angle between her leg and the ice.
