New Year ball dropping

Every New Year's Eve, people gather in New York City's Times Square to watch the ball drop. In the last 60 seconds, the ball moves at a speed of 2.35 feet per second. The most exciting part is the last 10 seconds, when the crowd counts in unison to celebrate the arrival of a new year. \\ 2.35 feet per second is pretty slow and relaxed, especially for the countdown! Instead of 60 seconds, say the ball moves the same distance in just 10 seconds. What would the speed of the ball be close to?
