What Is a Suspension? — Overview & Examples
A marshmallow is made of a gas suspended in a solid. It is not a true suspension because the mixed substances can't be separated by filtration. Marshmallows are the middle ground between a solution and a suspension, called a colloid. The particle size of colloids is between those of solutions and suspension.
