5 geeks, who happened to be friends, are touring a glamorous British garden estate. As they walk through the most serene and graceful rose garden, they stumble upon something odd—a very tacky treasure chest fashioned with all sorts of tacky ornaments. Offended, the 5 geeks smuggle the treasure chest out of the garden estate.
Later that day, driven mad by curiosity, the 5 geeks open the treasure chest and in it they discover 50 holographic Charizard cards!! Forget about returning the chest to the estate, now they must decide how to distribute these.
Out of love and friendship, the 5 geeks have devised a system where they are ranked from the most geeky to the least. Let us denote the 5 geeks as A, B, C, D and E from the most to least geeky. The geeks come up with the following rules of distribution:
- The geekiest geek proposes a distribution of 50 holographic Charizard cards
- All geeks vote on the proposed distribution
- If the distribution is accepted, the geeks distribute the goods
- If not, the geek who proposed the distribution is dethroned, shamed and violently ostercised to a dark room to watch the Star Wars prequels. The next geekiest geek now propose a new distribution.
- When voting if there is a tie, the proposing geek has veto power.
Obviously, every geek wants to survive and return to their mom’s basement with the most amount of holographic Charizard cards they can possibly get.
Can A survive? If so, what is the most amount of holographic Charizard cards they can possibly get?
