What Does It Mean to Be Statistically Significant?

We want to be 99% sure that our study results are not due to random chance (this means our [$\alpha$] "alpha" is 0.01). If the p-value from the study is 0.02, is our experiment statistically significant? In other words, will we reject the null hypothesis?
