Practice problem
Structure of Plasma Membrane — Transport & Homeostasis
A glucose molecule and a hydrogen ion are racing to a finish line located inside of a cell. Both will have to pass through the cell membrane to reach the finish line. The glucose molecule is complaining that the hydrogen ion has an unfair advantage because the hydrogen ion can passively diffuse through the membrane. Is the glucose molecule correct?
