For human blood type there are three alleles: A, B, and O. These are represented as IA^{A}, IB^{B}, and IO^{O}. IO^{O} is actually the lack of blood surface antigens. If someone has blood type A, their genotype can be IA^{A}IA^{A} or IA^{A}IO^{O}. Blood type also shows codominance: if someone has AB blood type, it means they are heterozygotes with genotype written as IA^{A}IB^{B}.

If you have blood type AB and you marry someone whose genotype is IB^{B}IO^{O}, which is blood type is NOT possible for your children?
