Don't Be Scared of "Logic" in Problem-Solving

It's your bff's birthday! you go to a gift-shop to buy a gift worth Rs.200. The shopkeeper- Srini unfortunately does not have change for the Rs.1000 note that you give him. He goes to the next shop to ask change for the same Rs.1000 note that you give him. Problem solved, he got change. Srini comes and gives your balance and you collect your gift and leave!!! Later, only to the Srini's shock, he gleans that the Rs.1000 note that you gave him and that he gave to the next shopkeeper is a fake one!! Now he was bound to return the next keeper RS.1000 from his own pocket. So....what is the loss suffered by Srini??
