Chromosomes and Chromatids
Chromosomes are DNA structures that are in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. The number of chromosomes found in a cell depends on the organism. Human cells generally have 46 chromosomes.
Chromatids are just one strand, or a component of chromosomes, as can be seen in the below image.
