The cellular membrane represented as a "Fluid Mosaic"
The cell membrane contains various proteins, carbohydrates and cholesterol that help regulate cellular transport and signaling. The phospholipids, proteins and cholesterol are all present in the membrane in a flexible pattern referred to as a fluid mosaic.
