(Video) The Difference Between Bisector and Midpoint
by eHow
Midpoints
Midpoints in geometry don't mean something too different from our day to day lives. Currently, my friend Ella and I both live on the same street. The tea cafe we like going to is also on the same street. When I go to the cafe, I have to pass by Ella's house. In fact, the it is the same distance from Ella's house to the cafe and from hers to mine. In other words, Ella's house is the mid point between the tea cafe and where I live.
Midpoints are points exactly in the middle of a segment: they're equidistant to either end. Take a look at the graph below: is the midpoint of line segment . The pair of tick marks indicates the congruence between the two halves of segment .

The segments AC and BC are congruent.
Bisectors
Bisectors are lines that cut things right in half, which means they go through the midpoint of the lines. Take a look at the graph below, as long as the lines pass through the midpoint, they are bisectors!

There are infinitely many bisectors for a given line segment AB.
Below is a video explaining what a midpoint and a segment bisector is.
In the video, she demonstrated what a midpoint and a line/segment bisector is.
