Regulation of Cellular Respiration
Cellular respiration yields ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which can be thought of as energy currency. In turn, the need for ATP governs the regulation of cellular respiration.
The food that we consume contain nutrients and energy, and cellular respiration allows for the conversion of these into ATP.
