What Are Congruent Angles?

Illustrated · 1 min

Congruent angles are identical

When two things are "congruent" it means that they share the same size and shape. In other words, they're identical! When two or more angles are congruent, it means that they share the same measure.

In the image above, angles ABC, IHA, and BCA (the ones marked with the green arcs with the lines through them) are congruent because they have the same measure. We don't know what the measure is, but we don't need to! The other angles in the image (BAC and DEF) are not congruent to each other or the ones marked in green.

Type a concept, like “slope” or “photosynthesis”.
