If we have two parallel lines and a transversal that runs through both lines, we can identify many pairs of congruent angles. Alternate interior angles are angles in the interior, on alternate sides of the transversal. Alternate interior angles are congruent. Alternate exterior angles are angles in the exterior, on alternate sides of the transversal. Alternate exterior angles are congruent. Corresponding angles are angles on the same side of the transversal, one in the interior and one in the exterior. Corresponding angles are congruent.

Type a concept, like “slope” or “photosynthesis”.
