Multiplying Higher Order Roots

Read · 1 min

The best way to think about roots of higher order is to turn them into fractional exponents. Here is what I mean: x=x1/2      x3=x1/3      xn=x1/n\sqrt x=x^{1/2}\;\;\;\sqrt[3]x=x^{1/3}\;\;\;\sqrt[n]x=x^{1/n} Once we have done this, we can apply our properties of exponents and deal with them in that fashion.
