Complementary angles are angles that when added to its complement becomes right, while supplementary angles are angles when added to the supplement of each other becomes a straight angle.

What's a supplement? What's a complement? There's a lot of new vocab here. A complement is an angle that when added to the original angle is right. A supplement is the angle that when added to the original angle becomes straight. There's a lot of difference between these two. Oh yeah, in a proof you have to prove that two angles are supplementary or complementary before saying that they're 180 degrees or 90 degrees.

When any two angles sum up to 90 degrees, it is termed as complementary angles. If one angle is known and a commplementary angle is to be found then subtract the known angle by 90 degrees we get the other unknown angle.

Whereas, an angle is said to be supplementary when summation of two angles is 180 degrees. Same way as complementary angle formula, when one angle is known and one angle is u known. subtract the known angle from 180 degrees, we can find the other unknown angle.
