Kinetochores
Kinetochores work as an interphase between the microtubule fibers and the chromatids. Kinetochores are central to the movement of the chromosomes and attaches to the dynamic ends of the microtubules. It is also a mechanical tension sensing system. This sensing system determines if everything is properly attached and positioned. If everything is in place the chromosomes can be moved to their proper location in the new daughter cells.
