Theory of relativity is one of the greatest works of Prf. Einstien. This theory gives us a new view point about our universe, a new idea about time and space and about their(time-space) relation. There are two parts of theory of relativity.

They are -

The Special Theory of Relativity and

The General Theory of Relativity.

Special Theory of Relativity deals with the inertial reference frames. Inertial reference frame is such a frame where the frame itself has either 0 velocity or has some non-zero velocity with 0 acceleration. In short, inertial reference frames can't have any non-zero acceleration.

Special Theory of Relativity talks about the relation of the value of time, distance, length etc of any event from different inertial observers.
