# Radical Conjugates with Variables - Expii

You can conjugate a variable expression, too. For example, the conjugate of x + √(x^2-2x) is x - √(x^2-2x), and when you multiply them you get (by difference of squares) x^2 - (x^2-2x) = 2x, a nice result. This sometimes comes in handy when rationalizing the denominator.
